Improve Public Speaking Through Toastmasters
Oops, I mean TikTok.
I enjoy public speaking. I enjoy Toastmasters.
Toastmasters, however, proved to be an inefficient tool for improving my public speaking skills. Here’s why.
Polite versus Brutal Feedback
When I get feedback from Toastmasters, it’s “blunt, but polite.”
When I review a TikTok before I publish it, every error jumps out at me screaming “OMH YOU CAN’T PUBLISH THIS!”
Through being a TikTok creator, I have fixed many problems in a very short period of time. One of them (saying “um”) has been a problem my whole life.
One week and 20 TikToks later, it’s gone.
Limited Scope for Corrections
