Great article. Now, the reason I'm responding :-D

As a "highly intelligent person" (with, literally, a "1 in a million" IQ), I'm the happiest person I know.

The world is filled with wonder. People are amazingly predictable, and conundrums are largely solvable. Difficult situations are easy to rationalize, since they are temporary, and it's easy to realize that "life moves on".

When I hit my 40's, I realized many (many MANY many) people make illogical (read: stupid) decisions, and I'm okay with that. Due to this, I find the world immensely entertaining.

On that note, COVID has provided a slew of opportunities for hilarity for me!

My Twitter feed is similarly filled with depressed geniuses, and I just don't relate.

On a similar note, my brother is equally or superbly gifted than me, and he may beat me for being the happiest person I know.

Maybe we're the minority?

Or (shudder) maybe the "happy" geniuses all suffer from some serious Dunning-Krueger...

Well, THAT would suck.
